The Swiss School for Guide Dogs Foundation, based in
Allschwil was founded in 1972 and is now considered the oldest and largest guide dog school in Switzerland.

Since its founding, the Allschwil Guide Dog School has pursued a central mission: to enable people with disabilities to have a better life through professionally trained dogs. These are specially trained as guide dogs, assistance dogs, autism companion dogs and social dogs in order to support the mobility and social participation of their future partners in their daily lives.
